Emily Oppenheim is a practicing architect and designer who has worked on new construction and interior renovation projects across commercial and residential sectors in the United States, Canada, the UK and Europe. Her work has been published in GQ, Michelin Guide, Vogue and Architectural Digest. She is the founder of a new design practice, Studio Galena, exploring architecture, space and objects.
Emily was previously a research resident at the New Museum, in New York City, and has since collaborated with internationally acclaimed architects and designers including world renowned architecture office, OMA, AD100 designer Steven Volpe and Jony Ive, former chief design officer at Apple.
Emily received her Masters of Architecture from the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University. She has studied architecture in New York City, Paris, Hong Kong and Shenzhen; receiving the Lucille Smyser Lowenfish Memorial Prize, the William Kinne Fellows Traveling Prize and the Studio X China Scholarship for her work.
